It’s Release 119 Weekend in the free-to-play MMORPG Shroud of the Avatar! The Catnip Games development team introduces a wealth of new content and enhancements this month.
Players can now embark on treasure hunts, with maps found on enemies, in chests, player vendors, or shared with fellow avatars. Selleck, located along the Port Harmony docks, serves as the hub for treasure hunters, offering guidance and valuable hints. Two maps are introduced: decrepit maps leading to low-tier zones suitable for all player levels and blood-stained maps guiding adventurers into zones frequented by player-versus-player combatants.
Helpful Automatons now offer an inventory-themed tutorial accessible through a one-on-one solo scene. Students who complete the tutorial receive a reward. These Automatons can be found in Soltown, Castle Atos, Kingsport, Port Harmony, and other NPC towns worldwide.
Governors and Stewards in player-owned towns can now choose from eleven additional two-story home options for unclaimed row lots, enhancing visual diversity and allowing for themed neighborhoods. These homes retain their unique appearances even after being claimed.

Apex Legends Season 19 Launches on Halloween
In Apex Legends Season 19, launching Oct. 31, Conduit, the inaugural Filipino Legend, debuts with unique abilities harnessed from a Monarch Titan battery. The Storm Point map undergoes significant alterations for a more dynamic gaming experience. Cross-platform progression ensures seamless gameplay across devices. A diverse battle pass encompasses an array of cosmetic items, from character skins to emotes. Additionally, a high-profile collaboration with a prominent figure in the singer/Pokémon enthusiast/One Ring holder community is set to be unveiled in November.
Battlefield 2042 Dark Protocol Starts on Halloween
On schedule, DICE unveiled Battlefield 2042's Season 6 event, "Dark Protocol," starting next week. This event introduces "Killswitch," a 12v12 mode featuring AI soldiers called Geists. Teams vie for control of Forges to spawn Geists while capturing AOS nodes. Unlike traditional flag capture, progress is cumulative and doesn't reset. The first team to five points wins. Dark Protocol runs from October 31 to November 14, offering unique rewards. Battlefield 2042's resurgence nears its two-year mark, buoyed by updates, a recent free weekend, and a sale.

Iconic Batman Suit Appears & Disappears in Batman: Arkham Knight
Robert Pattinson's "The Batman" suit briefly appeared in "Batman: Arkham Knight" on Epic Games Store, but was swiftly removed, surprising fans. No official announcement accompanied this addition to the eight-year-old game. Speculation suggests it may have been premature, possibly linked to the delayed release of Batman: Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch. WB Games has yet to comment. Remedy Confirms Two Alan Wake 2 Expansions
Developer Remedy has confirmed two expansions for Alan Wake 2 in 2024. Expansion 1, "Night Springs," is slated for late spring 2024, though release timing may change. Expansion 2, "The Lakehouse," lacks a specified release window. "Night Springs" promises to immerse players in a series of self-contained episodes within a fictional TV show set in Alan Wake's world, featuring familiar characters and surreal experiences. "The Lakehouse" revolves around a secretive government research facility by Cauldron Lake, where events take a mysterious turn, intertwining the fates of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake once more.
